What About Ghost Writing
By Ron on Jun 30, 2009 | In General Information
What is it?
Ghostwriting is a common fixture in the tradtional publishing world. Many books by celebrities, politicians, and other public figures are ghostwritten, or written by someone other than themselves. The public figure becomes the "author of record" many times without having actually written a single word. The term 'ghostwriting' stems from the fact that the actual writer of a work is invisible, only the client's name is visible to the public.
Why?
Follow up:
In many cases, the "author" of the work doesn't have the time to grind out 60,000 - 100,000 words, and follow through with the whole process of creating a manuscript. In others, the "author" may not have the necessary skills or talents. An incredibly talented screen actor may be brilliant at interpreting the words of others, but unable to form a complete, comprehensive sentence. For politicians and corporate executives, the constraint is most often related to the time available to work on the project.
Yeah, but why me?
Take a look at what you DO during an average day. You know that constant new content is important to your online enterprise, but do you really have the time necessary to draft, revise, proof, edit, and rework a new piece on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis?
